Godzilla King of Monsters #1 - Marvel Comics 1977

In Godzilla #1, the giant monster Godzilla emerges from the ocean and begins a destructive rampage through Alaska. As he battles his way inland, S.H.I.E.L.D., led by Nick Fury, responds by deploying advanced technology and a giant robot named Red Ronin (introduced later in the series) to stop him. This issue sets the stage for Godzilla’s clash with superheroes, super-science, and even iconic Marvel characters in a 24-issue run that blends classic kaiju action with Marvel-style storytelling.

The series exists in continuity with the Marvel Universe, meaning Godzilla eventually encounters characters like the Avengers and Fantastic Four.
