Monsters Unleashed #1 (1973) Marvel Comics - 1st Soloman Kane!

• The Solomon Kane story in Monsters Unleashed #1 is an adaptation of Howard’s short story “Skulls in the Stars.

• In “Skulls in the Stars,” Kane takes a path through haunted moors/swampy moorland in England. He encounters supernatural presences (ghosts) tied to a family curse. 

• Specifically, there's a ghost named Gideon, cousin to Ezra, who claims Ezra killed him and stole his soul. Gideon’s restless spirit attacks travelers. Kane, recognizing the injustice, forms a posse to confront Ezra, ultimately sacrificing the murderer to appease the ghost.
