Tales of Suspense #70 feat. Iron Man & Captain America (1965)

Iron Man story — “Fight On! For a World Is Watching!”

• Iron Man accepts a challenge from the villainous Titanium Man to prove which nation’s armored champion is superior.

• The battlefield is rigged with landmines and traps. Iron Man’s friend Happy Hogan is sent to deliver a special device, but is critically injured in the process. Iron Man vows to make the battle meaningful.

• Sub‑plot: A Countess (Countess Stephanie de la Spiroza) who’s been spurned by Tony Stark steals a key transistor, complicating the fight. 

Captain America story — “If This Be Treason!”

• Captain America and Bucky find themselves in England, at Greymoor Castle, where the young Bucky is being held captive by Nazi forces. Cap uses a stolen Nazi fighter plane to reach the castle. 

• The Nazis plan to launch a rocket (V‑2) at London, using the hostage situation as cover. Cap intervenes in the nick of time.
