Iron Man story – “Death Duel for the Life of Happy Hogan!”

• The villain Mandarin has kidnapped Happy Hogan, believing him to be Iron Man, and prepares to execute him.

• Iron Man, now in his upgraded Mark IV armor, arrives to rescue his friend. He withstands Mandarin’s attacks — including ice from one of Mandarin’s rings and a collapsing‑wall trap. 

• Iron Man discovers Mandarin has supplied a missile to the Chinese army aimed at a U.S. base. He reroutes the missile back toward Mandarin’s castle and escapes with Happy just in time — the castle appears to be destroyed in the blast, with Mandarin presumed dead. 

Captain America story – “The Secret!”

• Captain America travels to an Asian secret base to rendezvous with Agent 60 (a SHIELD operative) regarding the research and build‑up of the dangerous “Z‑Ray” weapon

• He must coax the fearful Agent 60 into cooperating, as the base’s guards close in. In the end, Cap infiltrates the facility, finds the “Z‑Ray” and destroys it, preventing its use against the United States.
